Thieves Sanitizer Spray

I love the Thieves spray but it can be a little pricey. So I decided to make my own and love it just as much!!!!IMG_20150403_092458

Thieves essential oil  is amazing!!!!!

It can kill all kinds of icky stuff naturally!!!  How awesome is that? No chemicals or alcohol on my kids hands that inevitably end up in their mouths. That’s a major plus for me!!!

So how do I make it?

First I start with a small spray bottle.  I try to get between a 4-6 oz size. I do make smaller ones for my purse.  However, I do like to make a big bottle and then fill my smaller bottles if they need it. Next I fill my empty bottle about 1/8 full with witch hazel. This helps to keep the sprayer from clogging. I then add 10-15 drops of Thieves essential oil to the bottle and top it of with bottled water.  Give it a shake and you are all done!!!  When you’re ready to use it, simple give it a shake again and spray it on your hands.  I keep a bottle in my car for after the kids have been playing in public areas.  Or when we are having a snack in the car and need to clean our hands before we eat.  This has also become a staple for our Disneyland trips.  I always keep a bottle in my stroller.  When we get off a ride I spay our hands down.  It’s also great for those snacks throughout the day at the park. There is not always a bathroom close by so, a quick spray and then they can munch on their snacks.  If you have a baby and want to clean off the changing table or shopping cart give it a quick spray and you are good.  Best part you won’t have to worry about your baby inhaling all those disinfectants that are full of chemical and bleach.
