Christmas In Our House

20161128_1237560

Christmas is my favorite time of year!  Yes, I know LOTS of people say that but for me, it brings back such amazing memories.  Not just the ones we’ve made since we became a family, but memories from when I was a child and celebrated Christmas with my mom and sister.  My mother came to the United Sates from Germany when she was 18.  The Christmas traditions she passed on the me are priceless. The way we spend Christmas Eve is one of those traditions.   I love going to church on Christmas Eve. We then coming home and having a family dinner before reading the Christmas story and opening a present.  For me it is the most magical time of the season.  It is the night that we come together as a family to remember and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.  The birth of Christ. Since my husband was raised with a traditional where Santa delivers presents and you open then on Christmas day, we have included that tradition as well.  Our kids get up early, and we go see what present Santa left for them.  I love combining both of our childhood traditions for our children so they get to enjoy both.  There are many other traditions that we enjoy and add each year.  Decorating cookies, making gingerbread houses, seeing Christmas lights, going to Disneyland, listening to LOTS of Christmas music and watching just about every Christmas movies are just a few more.

I wanted to share a couple videos we made this Christmas.  I hope you enjoy them.

And of course…..

DIY Christmas Gift Ideas with Essential Oils

Print

Looking for some good ideas for Christmas gifts? Want to share your love for essential oils with your family and friends? Then this class is for you!!! We will go over some fun DIY ‘s that you can make and give out. How about to your mail man or mail women, kids teachers, hairstylist, groomer, chiropractor, or whomever you want to say thank you for being there this past year. I can’t wait to make these and I hope y’all enjoy them too.

OK let’s get started

I love taking baths, especially on cold winter nights with a cup of hot tea. Plus they are great for detoxing. Add a bath bomb with Stress Away and you have one happy girl 🙂

Does your skin get dry over the winter months? I know mine does and it’s no fun. This bath soak helps to soothe your dry skin making it feel nourished and moisturized again. Aaahhhhh

I know during the holidays when I get to the bedroom all I want to do is crash on my pillow and not move again for another 10 hours. But with the holidays also comes more parties and that means more makeup. I hate going to bed with my makeup on but I know when I’m tired it happens more then I like. These quick eye make up remover pads are great for those nights when I need to get my makeup off quickly before I crash out. Also they do it with no yucky chemicals!!!

Now this DIY takes a little more work and planing but the rewards are great. I think a few homemade hand soaps with some new hand towels is the perfect Christmas gift for someone, don’t you?

Oh my gosh I am so excited about this recipe. My kids love bubble bath but hate all the harsh chemicals in them. This is such a great gift to make your kids . You can add a couple plastic toys in the bottle and it makes it even more fun. Or keep it simple and give it to a friend.

We made some of these and hung them in our fake Christmas tree. So many people thought our tree was real because they could smell it. This is such a great way to make your home smell like a real one but still have the convenience of a fake one. Especially when you live in a dry climate and a real one only last a week 😦

One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is make cookies and goodies to give away. I am not a big fan of the frosting covered cookies, although we have found a pretty amazing recipe, but I prefer to step out of the tradition cookies box and do different things. These next few post will give you some ideas to share Young Living in tasty treats. How about peppermint brownies made with the peppermint vitality oil!?! All I can say is YUM!!!!!!!

I think Santa might like these too.

Now with all the gifts made and the parties over, it’s time to snuggle up in front of the fireplace and sip a cup of Spiced Holiday Cider. Go ahead, you deserve it!
